Your ‘Roll Your Own’ IP Cop article was very helpful. I am hoping that you can help me out with a quick question. I just inherited a client with a pre-existing IPCop firewall, v1.4.10. They are currenly using a shared voice/data line and had me install a video conferencing system that is a bandwidth hog. I need to do some traffic shaping and would like to prioritize tafffic on a few ports. They have periodic needs for the video/audio traffic, plus Exchange, standard web traffic, etc. My question is do I have to check the traffic shaping box or can I just add priorities to the ports I want? I am sure this is not the reason you have this message board, but I am stuck and need to get this done to keep my butt out of a sling. I would really appreciate your help.
